Classroom One's Snowy Exploration!

On Tuesday, October 2nd, snow came to Calgary! The children in classroom one enjoyed playing outside and using the snow in the mud kitchen. They filled the ice cream cups with snow to make ice cream. When asked what kind of ice cream, they said that they were making "rainbow ice cream" and vanilla. Some of the children handed out the ice cream for others to pretend to eat.

The next day, the children helped shovel the snow into a snow mountain! They balanced along the ledge to slide down. The children explored the feeling of the snow as they slid down, exclaiming that it felt bumpy.

On Tuesday, November 6th, The children used their hands, shovels, and cups to fill the black bucket with snow. Some of the children went inside, covering themselves up with snow. When asked what they were doing, one child answered that they were pretending to be in a bathtub and another answered that they were going into the oven. The children laughed as some of the educators attempted to pick up the bucket with the children inside.
