Lights, Shadows and Fairies

Classroom 2 have been expanding our imagination with jewels and flashlights. Staff put up a white sheet with flashlights and jars filled with jewels, twigs, stones and transparent blocks to enhance the light. Some of the children made shadows with their hands and tried to catch the light from the flashlights. One student began putting all of the treasures on the blocks and saw that there were may different colors and shapes. Another student put the flashlight directly in the jars and commented that there were “fairies dancing”. We took their imagination and created fairy houses and displayed them for the school to see.
