THE ICE FISHING CLUB

The kindergarten class has been busy exploring winter related centers. We have been learning about different animals that hibernate and migrate. We integrated this idea at the block and playdough center to help them explore a little more. At the sensory table we had the “artic ice sensory play” where the kids got to melt the ice with the use of droppers to try find out what animals where hiding inside the ice. While doing so, we talked about the reason why polar and penguins bears don’t hibernate like black bears do. Also the children enjoyed playing at the “ice fishing “center catching fish and describing about different sizes and colors.
