GOING ON A BEAR HUNT

This past February 21st, we went to our monthly field trip to Fish Creek Park . The children in the kindergarten class have mastered all necessary skills to make this field trip succesfull and enjoyable . They feel very comfortable exploring the deep snow and walking on icy surfaces independently , and are not afraid of climbing and jumping off the tree stumps. We have also noticed, they are more confident exploring their surroundings with their peers instead of continuously seeking for adult support. Before departure , we read a book called “ We are going on a bear hunt” by Michael Rosen. When we are arrived, the children in classroom 4 were ready to go on their new adventure. They enjoyed going up and down the hill looking for the bear . Our next field trip will be on March 21st.

The last time we were here, one of the children had been looking for a bear. So to encourage this play and inspire the children further... a staff went to the park ahead of time and planned this activity. The note from the bear said that he was still sleeping but looks forward to meeting them soon!
