Budding Architects

In classroom three, we have the amazing sky line of the city of Calgary from

the view out of our classroom window. The children were asked what they could see when they looked out the window.

Emmanuella-“I see the Calgary tower”

Dimitri-“I see towers”

Tayden- “I see elevators”

Russell- “oh no, the building are falling over”

With the ongoing construction of the downtown core, there have been many times in the days where children spend a lot of time observing the construction at work.

We decided to make a city ourselves.

The children were provided with glue and loose blocks to create their version of what Calgary’s downtown looks like to them.

I think a fieldtrip to the Calgary tower might be in the future for our budding architects!
