Over the Meadow
Classroom three has been learning about the differences between what lives in a meadow and what is under the sea. For the meadow, we went on a field trip to the nature reserve, dipped our toes in the water and observed the animals that lived there. We even had our very own caterpillars in the classroom that we watched transform into butterflies. The children were all asked what their predictions about what they thought their caterpillars would turn into. One child said “they are turning into kitties” another thought “they will turn into lady bugs”. Lots of interesting predictions from our budding scientists!
When we were learning about the sea, we had so much fun singing all the sea songs we could think of. We had a pirate ship in our dramatic play center and a sand box full of buried treasure. We also had lots of fun getting messing painting the background for our documentation panel about the sea! Come check it out!
